Many Questions Have Raised with Raikonen and Ferrari
But the biggest question in the top three competitions is probably, when will McLaren fit in the equation? The 2006 season was reasonably unfortunate for the Silver Arrows they had no wins for the first time in 10 years, and Raikkonen was only on the podium six times. What would be probably enough for some, with that but considering Raikkonen had seven wins and 12 podiums overall in 2005, for McLaren it was nothing.
The common belief for this Championship is that Ferrari plus Raikkonen equals a definite win, and it could result in the truth but I have my reservations as for the equation. I admit Kimi is one of the most talented drivers and Ferrari's strengths are redoubtable. But despite, Raikkonen has made mistakes in the past and has a new team to settle into. Also, you only have to think back to 2005 to know that Ferrari isn't invincible and can make rather a mess of things.
McLaren's competitiveness is doubted by some, and so is Raikkonen's dedication to the occupation at hand when he is often compared to Schumacher the word around is that the Finn can't match Michael's commitment both on and off the track. But those kinds of judgments are from ignorants who seem to obviate the fact that Kimi and Michael are completely different people.
Raikkonen is incredibly fast and when given a terrifically fast car it doesn't take a genius to predict the result. The question remains to be how much time and effort Kimi will put into helping Ferrari make a fast car. In an ideal world, Ferrari should produce a good car straight out of the box and Kimi only needs to park his aspire in it and keep it pointed the right way.
