ONLINE SHOPPING ON YOUR CELL PHONE
With more cell phones allowing access to email, web surfing and of course text messaging, it comes as no surprise that the online marketplace would take advantage of it.
“It was a no-brainer transition,” claims Bruce A. Tucker. The Assistant Managing Director of Indocquent.com, an online marketplace that allows businesses and individuals to post their products and services for sale, says, “Consumers today want to be informed of products and services that come on the market and go on sale, right away.” Tucker continues, “the ability to deliver a message or link to that product or service, via someone’s cell phone, gives us the ability to reach consumers anywhere in the world at anytime.”
Some shoppers claim that this may lead into more annoying spam type of messaging or an equivalent to cell phone telemarketing, however, Tucker says, in the case of Indocquent, users will only receive this information if a consumer specifically requests it from the web site.
Who knows where this technology will lead us into, but if you are a shopping enthusiast, I am sure this is a service you could definitely use.
