Wedding cake inspiration

Most couples plan for a customary wedding, with a beautiful gown, customary wedding cake, and everything is very beautiful, but nice and traditional. Other brides and grooms however, are somewhat not normal, and they prefer to celebrate their difference through their weddings. You have only so many options to be not normal in your celebration. You really only have the option of a not normal dress or a not normal cake, and many brides and grooms decide to show their uniqueness through having a highly not normal celebration cake. If you truly desire your celebration cake to say something not normal, and you absolutely desire to have something at your celebration that your attendees will always treasure, you should consider some of these not normal celebration cakes for inspiration.

Actor Blair Underwood had a remarkably not normal celebration cake at his celebration. It was a replica of the Eiffel tower! It was a six and a half foot likeness, with real lights along the tower. This cake has got to be one of the most, if not the most not normal celebration cake on the face of the earth. I can only imagine the amount of work that went into it.

One bride and groom had a square celebration cake that had two swans swimming on a pond on top of it, all crafted with icing. It was a highly grand cake, with ribbons and flowers clothing it all. However, it was a single layer cake, so some brides and grooms may not care for a cake like this.

Another not normal celebration cake one bride and groom had was a "Shrek" cake. This bride and groom must have been big fans of the movie, because their cake was all about it, including the Shrek and Princess Fiona characters on top of the cake! This celebration cake had two layers, and on the bottom layer had a design of Donkey and the dragon, the other couple in the Shrek movies!

I have also seen some incredibly not normal "box" celebration cakes. Not to say that these cakes looked like a box; one of these celebration cakes was a three layered cake, and each of the layers was decorated like a different gift, complete with bows. Another wedding pair had a cake that was shaped and highly decorated as an open hat box, with flowers rising out of it.

One of the most not normal celebration cakes that I have witnessed has to be a Chinese celebration cake. It was a three layered red cake, crafted with the most fantastic detail and fantastic icing flowers. Another not normal celebration cake one bride and groom had was a Phantom of the Opera celebration cake. This one had just a single layer, and it was white, black and red, with the white mask sitting on top of black icing, and a red icing "cloth" draped over it.

Another not normal and seldomly used celebration cake idea is a cupcake wedding cake. You just have to buy a cupcake tree and bake and decorate cupcakes to place on it.
