The Vital Issues

To find out why God allows suffering, think back

to a time suffering began, that is when satan led

Adam and Eve into disaobeying God.

An important question was raised.

Satan at no time in the bible ever questioned Gods

power, for satan more than any other knows, that

there is no limit to Gods power.

Satan called into question Gods "right to rule",

gods sovereignty. By calling God a liar, Satan

charged that God is a bad ruler (Gen 3;2-5)

,saying he with-holds all that is good from his

subjects. Satan implied that we would be better

off without Gods rulership, making a direct

attack on Gods sovereignty, his right to rule.

In effect, when our first parents Adam and Eve

rebelled against God they basically said,

"We don't need God as our ruler,we can decide for

ourselves what is right or wrong".

How then do you think God settled this issue? How

would you settle it?

To teach all intelligent creatures that Satan and

his rebels were wrong, that what God taught was

for our benefit, for our own happiness. You may

say that God being all powerful should have just

destroyed the rebels, and started again, a fresh

start per-say.

Lets think about that for a minute, but first let

me state that what God says will happen, will

without a doubt happen, so it shall be written so

it shall be done. Gods first commandment, his

purpose was for Adam and Eve to fill the earth

with their offspring, and live on an earthly

Paradise.(Gen 1:28)

God always fulfills his purposes. (Isaiah 53:10,11

)

and besides getting rid of the rebels in Eden,

wouldn't have answered the question raised

regarding the right to rule.

So what does God do then?

There is a simple Illustration that can answer

this question, an illustration that after reading

it I am sure you will agree was the only way God

could have done it.
