Contacting Your Ex – The Right And Wrong Ways To Get Your Ex Back

(Note: For simplicity, I will use "she" but the tips mentioned below applies to both men and women)

So you have already broken up with your ex, and now you are thinking of contacting her. Do you know that there is a right and wrong way to do so?

First, you will have to look at how long you have already broken up with your girlfriend. If you have just broken up with her for only a few days, this is not the time to call her. Calling her can create more problems for you.

Why is that so?

Well, when you just break up with your girlfriend, most likely, you won't be emotionally well and is not quite straight in your head. And even if she is the one who suggested the break up, she may not be feeling too good too. Therefore, you want to allow both of you time to cool down.

Allow at least one month before you start contacting her. If possible, don't meet her during this period. You may also want to remove anything in your room that will remind you of her. Of course, you don't have to throw them away.

Just pack all of them into a box or a cupboard where you will not see them. If you have no choice but to see her everyday because both of you are colleagues, you don't want to ignore her totally. You should at least smile and say hi.

For those who have already broken up for more than one month and would like to get your ex back, it is important that you do so strategically.

You don't want to show any sign of desperation. For example, if it happens that she did not answer your call, you don't want to call her again on the same day. Most importantly, you don't want to call her several times in a row, hoping that she will answer your phone call.

Instead, what you will want to do is to wait for a few more days before you start contacting her again. Be more patient and it will gives you a higher chance to get your ex back.

Another reason why you do not want to call your ex too often too soon is because you don't want to antagonize her too much. If she becomes frustrated, she may just decide to cut off all contacts from you. This will make it more difficult for you to get her back. Certainly, you do not want this situation to happen to you.
