These novelties and this infatuation of the public for shawls, provoked a significant textile industry development after the French revolution.
During almost three centuries, it was a flourishing industry which known a pause in the 20th century

However, new techniques of production allowing to lower costs in a considerable way, the shawls know a certain renewal interest for some years.

The desire of originality and elegance, well corresponds to the today's shawls.
