Measuring a mere 9.4 mm in thickness and its feather weight of a shed over 70 grams makes it one of the thinnest and lightest 3G mobile phone in the world.

The Sony Ericsson W880i is a simple candy bar mobile phone that belongs to the Walkman family. Currently available in Steel Silver and Flame Black, both the colour solutions of the Sony Ericsson W880i sports the iconic orange colour in its design scheme and a Walkman logo to give a hint about the Sony Ericsson W880i's music playing skills.

The Sony Ericsson W880i is endowed with an upgraded Walkman media player v2.0. Other than the cosmetic changes in the user interface of the new Walkman player, the Sony Ericsson W880i includes many new features previously unavailable in its earlier form. A feature called TrackID is incorporated so that you can instantly obtain all necessary information about a song by sending just a few seconds of the song's recording.
