Make the most of your weekend in London

Whatever your taste, there are myriad attractions waiting for you in London. Chocoholics visiting the city, can indulge in their favourite treat till their heart’s content at a variety of locations: the Courthouse Hotel Kempinski is not only a fabulous place to stay, but also offers spa treatment products from Karin Herzog, including chocolate facials, body treatments and manicures. Alternatively, the “Heartbreak Healer” at The Spa at Renaissance Chancery Court can help to ease a painful relationship break-up by using chocolate as a holistic remedy to cure a broken heart.

For visitors who are fascinated by the ghoulish side of London, a host of popular haunts await - each with an intriguing history! Only the bold would dare book the Langham Hotel where legend has it that during the early 20th century, a German prince ended his life by jumping from a balcony - and continues to stalk the hotel’s corridors to this day. For absolutely fearless visitors to London, a chilling experience can be expected at the Georgian House Hotel, which is said to be inhabited by creepy, ethereal ghost children.

Those less inclined to scare themselves rigid can enjoy London’s rich culture; perhaps starting with a visit to Tate Britain which full of marvellous paintings and sculpture, before strolling down Millbank and taking in the beautiful riverside views along the way. After a pleasant walk you’ll find yourself outside the Houses of Parliament and St. Stephen’s Tower - commonly known as Big Ben - with Westminster Abbey just steps away.

London is also full of interest for sports enthusiasts. The new £758 million Wembley Stadium complex is open for tours throughout the year, which is sure to be a winner with football fanatics everywhere! After visiting the stadium, why not head to London’s West End to enjoy a round of urban golf? You can tee off on any number of famous virtual greens from around the world at this hi-tech hideaway in Soho - without ever having to worry about carrying a heavy bag of golf clubs or looking for wayward shots in the process!

For those who’d rather relax with a drink and watch their favourite sport rather than participate, a number of bars and restaurants offer a great atmosphere to watch your preferred team in action. The Fiamma Sports Bar and Restaurant in particular should be on any potential weekend in London itineraries. You can sample a delicious range of drinks and snacks and watch huge flat screen TVs dotted throughout the venue, ensuring you're never far away from catching the action.

London truly offers something for everyone, with historical attractions, stunning architecture and a vast array of leisure activities to choose from. But with so much to do in the city, make sure you plan your itinerary well and pack as much as possible into your weekend in London.
