Jonathan Adler was born 1966 in a New Jersey farm town.  In 1978 he tried pottery at summer camp while wearing a Rush concert remember them.  When he came home he begged his parents to buy him a wheel and kiln. He spent most of his adolescent life in the basement of his family's modern home throwing pots. Jonathan Adler also appeared as lead judge of "Top Design," he is easily recognized by his use of mod shapes, vibrant colors and retro patterns that are the signature of his work today.
