The Best Ski Resorts in Utah for Beginners

Are you brand new to winter sports and interested in getting started? There are a lot of ski resorts in Utah that will give you the perfect opportunity to learn how to snowboard or ski!

You'll find that the Salt Lake City area is full of great ski resorts, so it's no wonder that the area was host to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. The area gets an abundance of unique snow and plenty of sunny days. That's the perfect combination for anyone who wants to ski or snowboard.

Snowbird is a large resort, with excellent classes available for beginners and families. It includes shops and high-end lodging. Although it's rather more expensive than other resorts, the amenities and all-inclusive feel makes it well worth the price.

Brian Head Resort is rare among the ski resorts in Utah, in that it offers a mountain set aside completely for children and beginners. Navajo Mountain is located adjacent to the resort's learning center. Because of how it's set up, it helps put parents' minds at ease and also makes it easier for beginners who haven't quite gotten the hang of their skis yet.

One of the more famous resorts in Utah is the Park City Mountain Resort. Both beginner and experienced skiers can benefit from the instruction the resort offers, which covers a broad range of experience. There are multiple levels of children's programs at Park City Mountain Resort, which strives to provide a family environment that's safe and fun.

Wolf Mountain, located in the town of Eden, offers some of the least expensive skiing in the state, so it's great for beginners on a budget. The resort has great family packages available, and it well-known for its excellent teaching terrain.

Bald Eagle Mountain at Deer Valley Resort boasts an area called Wide West, dedicated exclusively to beginning skiers. People of all ages can take classes at the ski school.

When it comes to ski resorts in Utah, there are more than you can shake a stick at. Beginners, whether traveling with friends or family, have dozens of choices for great instruction and fabulous skiing!
