Booking a Holiday, Tour or Vacation in Ecuador

In my capacity as the UK Director of Operations for One World Tours Limited, I am often asked about the destinations I have been to so that is why I try to give a good opinion on those places. Here then, are my top suggestions for sites to take in during your holiday in Ecuador.

Boasting some of the deepest of the jungles and highest Andes, Ecuador is a magnificent destination to experience. Extending also to the Galapagos Islands, an amazing cluster of Islands in mid-ocean that offer an abundance of wildlife that are a joy to behold as a real life experience.
Along with the countries natural gifts, Ecuador has a variety of colourful indigenous cultures, well-preserved colonial architecture, out of this world volcanic landscapes, immensely thick rainforests such as the stunning Amazonian jungle and of course not to mention it’s world-famous tropical beaches.

If you are lucky enough to be in Ecuador in one it’s city’s, towns or villages when it is holding one of their local festivals, you will be able to experience the celebrations which display an abundance of fireworks, alcohol, complimented by music and dancing.
For the adventure seekers among you there is no where more exciting than the amazing Andes. With it’s many truly beautiful regions such as the Mindo cloud forest which is very similar to the rain forest. The cloud forest houses birds and plants from the rain forest but more interestingly other species that have evolved naturally in this amazingly unique ecosystem.
You may decide to experience the famous train ride through the Andes instead a more relaxing way to take in your breathtaking surroundings.

There are some stunning National Parks in Ecuador, each of them offering a magical experience in it’s own right. Podocarpus National Park for example, is home to a unique species of bird and the Podocarpus, the only native conifer of Ecuador. The parks main objective in modern times is to protect the greatest forest of romerillos in the country. Boasting more than 100 lagoons the most famous being the Lagoons of the Compadre and a host to some of the most stunning waterfalls, this is a must see destination.
Sangay National park on the other hand has two active volcanoes set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Here you will encounter the whole range of ecosystems ranging from tropical rainforests to snow capped peaks and glaciers.

Machalilla National Park is without a doubt the most stunning and recent of the protected forest in Ecuador. If it is heaven on earth that you wish to experience then this Park is the place for you. All of the most exotic plants that you can imagine grow naturally and in abundance here. Flying among them are tropical birds such as parrots frigates and pelicans.
With it’s natural bays, wide, white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, it is the closest place to paradise you will ever encounter.

The Galapagos is an amazing destination where you can get up close and personal to a variety of animals that do not move/fly away from you when you encounter them. Composed, The Galapagos Islands are made up of almost exclusively volcanic rock. One of the wildest places on the planet you will not help but to be inspired by these magnificent islands.
