You know the vitality of safety when it is about working with your Delta circular saw. Protect your vital body parts. Well, you may have kept yourself from getting hurt, but the power cord wasn't as lucky. Don't worry. Cutting the power cord to a saw is a very normal circumstance. Safety is your utmost priority when you receive the Delta part and do the repair. Obviously, you need to unplug the saw prior to repairing it because though it's been severed, there is still a risk of electric shock.

Dismantle your Delta circular saw's handle with a drill or screwdriver and store the screws near you in a box or tray to avoid losing them.

It'll be simplest to install the replacement cord while the connections are done outside of the body of the circular saw. You have more space to work.

Spray the edges of connectors and wires with a container of electrical cleaner. Use a small electrical wire brush. Gently brush the wires and terminals prior to installing the Delta part. To decrease corrosion, dab electrical grease on the connections as you are making the repair.
