Analysis of European Lamp Market

In European market, Italy, Germany and England are main lamp consumers. In European consumption ranking results of 2004, Spain and France follow the above three countries, and Spain exceeds France for the first time. Italy is the leading lamp manufacturer in Europe, its production value becomes twice than ever in 2004 and achieves 2,400,000,000 euros; the second is Germany which reaches 2,200,000,000 euros and stands head and shoulders above England and Spain. The majority of products are Europe-made in European lamp market, however, in recent years, there is an increase with steady steps in European lamp market as well as imports, and import quota of domestic consumption in all European countries increases. Imported lamps in Europe have risen to 6,000,000,000 euros in 2004 and exported lamps are 5,400,000,000 euros. Since 1999, Proportion of imported products has gone up, by the year of 2004, it has taken 56.7 of its total output. Among them, floor lamp, table lamp, chandelier, crystal chandelieralso rises fastest. According to the analysis of classifies as follows -- lamps for houses, lamps for public buildings, lamps for industries and lamps for outdoors, we know that production value of lamps for houses reaches 4,100,000,000 euros and equals to the last year; production value of lamps for constructions and commerce environments reaches 2,500,000,000 euros and declines by 2.5 compared with 2003; production value of outdoor lamps(decoration and special lamps) reaches 1,400,000,000 euros and raises by 1.3 comparing with 2003, and this consumption increase mainly benefit from increase of imported products. Although imports add by 4%, trade deficit exists all the same.
