You can also buy gift for a birthday or Christmas vouchers from many places and this is a great way to create the freedom for them to get what they want. However, this can create some disappointment as on a special occasion like Christmas or a birthday he can not do much with the voucher!
For me receiving a Amiga computer all wrapped up in big packaging was a great feeling, and it offered more practical benefits, as I did not simply use it just for a special occasion like Christmas or a birthday, but used it daily for years after.
Achieving the right balance to buy a gift for him is not an easy one to make. It is easy to get into purchasing a gift for him which is practical, however does not produce the good cheer of receiving a gift for a birthday or Christmas as we did when we was kids. My likes now are Ferrari's however, I do not expect people to buy me a Ferrari for a special occasion like Christmas or a birthday! Instead in such cases some memorabilia with a Ferrari logo or even a scaled down Ferrari coupe can be just what does the trick. Use your imagination, and you can create a great Christmas for him.
