Success of a Red Bee

Fast-food restaurants are getting more and more popular all over the world. Philippines is among of the many Asian countries that created one of the most popular fast-food restaurant all over the world, and that fast-food restaurant is popularly known as simple Jollibee.


Jollibee Food Corporation, or simply Jollibee, is among of the biggest fast-food restaurant in the Philippines that even competes with other big companies in the fast-food industry like Wendy’s, Burger King, and even McDonalds.


Jollibee Food Corporation is currently the biggest fast-food chain in the country; it also has locations in the United States, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Indonesia, Dubai and Brunei, providing their unique yumburgers and chickenjoy for Filipinos and foreigners alike.


Part of their success is from acquisitions of other big and popular fast-food restaurants in the Philippines. The company acquired 80 percent of Greenwich Pizza in 1994, enabling it to penetrate the pizza-pasta segment. From a 50-branch operation, Greenwich has established a strong presence in the food service industry. In early 2006, <a href="http://www.expressregalo.com/category.aspx?scid=67&cid=14">Jollibee Food Corporation</a> bought out the remaining shares of its partners in Greenwich Pizza Corp., equivalent to a 20% stake, for P384 million in cash. In 2000, the company acquired Chowking, allowing Jollibee to be part of the Oriental quick service restaurant segment. In 2005, Red Ribbon was acquired by Jollibee Foods Corporation, a conglomerate of popular fast-food chains in the Philippines.


And as of 2008, Jollibee Food Corporation now holds some of the biggest fast-food restaurants in the country such as Chowking, Greenwich Pizza, Red Ribbon Bakeshop, Délifrance and Manong Pepe's


But aside from fast-food restaurants in the Philippines, <a href="http://www.expressregalo.com/category.aspx?scid=67&cid=14">Jollibee Food Corporation</a> also manages other restaurants from other Asian countries such as in China and in Taiwan.


In 2007, Jollibee acquired the Chinese fast-food chain Hong Zhuang Yuan. Aside from Hong Zhuang Yuan, Jollibee purchased 70% of Taipei restaurant Lao Dong in June and Chun Shui Tang tea house in 2006. In 2004, Jollibee acquired Chinese fast food chain Yonghe King for $ 22.5 million.


<a href="http://www.expressregalo.com/category.aspx?scid=67&cid=14">Jollibee Food Corporation</a> also entered into a joint-venture contract with US-based Chow Fun Holdings LLC, the developer and owner of Jinja Bar Bistro on New Mexico, USA., in which Jollibee will have a 12% stake in the US-based Asian restaurant for $ 950,000.


Jollibee has become the biggest fast-food restaurant in the Philippines, and now is competing with some of the biggest fast-food restaurants in the world.
