Identify genital warts and what should you do about it
The biggest problem with genital warts is that the early signs of contracting genital wart are not that apparent so it is hard to confirm whether or not the person has contracted the disease during the early stages. But if you find any symptoms appearing on your body then you should pay full attention to it. Make an appointment with your local family physician or doctor as soon as possible.
Some people might recognize the disease by its other famous and well known name of genital wart disease which is HPV, or Human Papilloma Virus. Some might relate this disease to the more popular herpes virus but they are dissimilar in scientific terms. People often mistook HPV with Herpes because they are both transmittable through sexual intercourse.
The HPV virus, or genital wart, is known to be highly contagious and infectious and direct skin contact between two persons would enable to virus to be passed on to another individual. This would indicate that any contact with an infected person anywhere on the body and if it is not clean properly afterwards then the individual would face high possibility of contracting the disease himself.
Do not panic or ignore when you see symptoms appear on your body, possibly indicating that you have contracted the genital wart disease. You might suffer some amount of humiliation when you discuss the problem with your doctor during the appointment but it is worth the case since the disease can affect your long-term health condition.
Genital warts left untreated can sometimes lead to more serious problems arising like that of cervical cancer. However since some people dont display signs of early genital warts it becomes difficult to seek treatment for their problem.
Even though there are no obvious symptoms for genital warts during the initial stages of the illness, but there are some signs which can be considered as starting problems which indicate the genital wart virus has developed. Warning signs may include hot and searing pain in your body parts, and you always feel the urge to scratch an itch in the same location on your body, soreness on a body part that is becoming red in color, and the body part always feel warm and wet due to dampness.
If these warning signs have been bugging you for some time then it is possible you have been infected by the HPV virus. So, you have to look for professional medical help as soon as possible. Due to the virus being a sexually transmitted disease, it is best that your partner also goes to check his or her medical condition to determine if they have also been infected with the diseases.
Even if you don't have the virus in your body, you might still be infected when you have sexual intercourse with a partner who is infected with the genital wart disease. Even if you manage to get yourself infected with the virus, it might be quite a while before your body shows any signs of the illness. It might be months, even years, before any signs or symptoms pop out on your body.
This is one of the reasons it becomes difficult to determine from whom you contracted the disease if you have or have had, multiple sexual partners. Theres also a chance that you will display early genital warts signs almost immediately you are infected. A lot of this depends on the condition of your health at the time of infection as well as the type of HPV you get.
