Energy Medicine - How The Treatment is Performed

The healing practitioner begins by "centering" that is, focusing his creative or healing intention by directing it inward to ready himself for assessing and treating the patient. The practitioner draws energy into himself through his crown chakra and sends it to his own heart (to ensure that no harm is done), then out through his hands to the client. The energy may go through both hands, or through only the left hand, with the right hand drawing negative energy away from the client. The practitioner may envision a desire and commitment to creating a specific outcome for the patient; for example, fulfilling a personal goal or aspiration, or he may simply facilitate the energy to be used for the client's best interest. This creative, healing intention aligns the conscious, subconscious, and super conscious aspects of the mind; sets energy forces in motion; and may create instantaneous healings or other manifestations.

Hazards

No adverse effects arising from energy medicine have been identified. Some clients may express discomfort with the intensified energy; at that point the therapist may move to another location or end the treatment.

The use of vibrational toxins may impede the success of energy therapy. Such toxins include alcohol (loosens and misaligns the subtle anatomy), cigarette smoke (clouds and weakens the subtle anatomy), and caffeine (disturbs the flow of energy). These affect the acupuncture meridian system that affects the etheric body, which in turn causes energy leaks in the emotional and mental bodies.

Clinical considerations

The client should be consulted about cultural items or rituals that are important to him, and these should be incorporated into the healing session in the manner agreed upon.

Research summary

Numerous studies support the efficacy of vibrational or energy medicine. However, further study regarding its efficacy is necessary.
