The Many Faces of Acne - Cures, Myths and Treatments
There are so many things to consider when you have
a medical condition. That's what acne is folks,
it's a medical condition. One that most people
choose to treat without the advice of a physician
. The condition itself can have devastating
effects. People with clear skin can't possibly
know how painful it can be to do things as simple
as go to the store or worse yet a PARTY!!! Yeah,
yeah, I know skin deep and all that. All well and
good if the skin spouting off isn't covered in
big red boil looking things or red patchy spots.
Am I right?
After years of suffering myself I woke up one
morning to discover something worse. My beautiful
middle daughter had hit puberty and along with it
came a gift from her mother, acne. This changed
things for me, the thought of someone so dear to
me feeling the horrible feelings I had had to
endure caused me to get off my butt and get down
to business.
Firstly I realized that all the treatments in the
world did no good until it was matched up with
what it's suppose to treat. I realized that there
are scores of free informative articles on
everything, adult acne, body acne, teen acne,
mineral make-up, birth control for acne, you name
it it's out there. I found that most of the
articles that were attached to a particular
product were the least informative. When I
separated myself from the pain and depression of
the actual skin condition and started using
methodical research into what works and what
doesn't, not from the acne medication
advertisements point of view, but from acne
information articles, I started to develop an
acne treatment plan that gave results.
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't over night, but when
you see positive results where before there was
none it gives a boost of self esteem and
jubilation that makes the process worth every
minute. The resource I have listed for this
article is the most concise, easy to navigate
bunch of articles I had ever come across and was
the major turning point for narrowing down what I
had and didn't have, what I had tried and hadn't
tried and most importantly what had worked,
somewhat, well or not at all. That it was
gathered together in one place so that I could
digest it at my leisure and keep re referencing
it was invaluable. I was able to get my skin
under control including my body acne (which didn
't rear it's ugly head until my mid thirty's), and
cure my daughters teen acne before it started to
change the way she interacted with the world.
The period I spent dreading having to show my face
can still bring to mind those awful black
feelings, but those days are gone. I can't
describe how good it feels to know that when I
walk in somewhere I don't automatically lower my
head, or avoid eye contact so I didn't have to
see the other persons eyes exploring my face. The
freedom is out there. Read, take the time to
really plot a plan of attack and stick with it.
Acne can be overcome and it is so well worth the
effort .
