JAG

Judge Advocate General or JAG for short is a combination of action, drama, thriller and mystery genre. It was first aired on the year 1995 on NBC. It was produced by Belisarius Productions, in association with Paramount Network Television. The series has won 3 Emmys and an additional of 7 more wins and 16 nominations from different award giving bodies.

It was filmed at USA with the following cast mentioned respectively, David James Elliott as Lt./Lt. Cmdr./Cmdr./Capt. Harmon 'Harm' Rabb Jr., Catherine Bell as Maj./Lt. Col. Sarah 'Mac' MacKenzie (1997-2005), John M. Jackson as Adm. Albert Jethro 'A.J.' Chegwidden (1996-2004), Tracey Needham as Lt. j.g. Meg Austin (1995-1996), Patrick Labyorteaux as Lt. j.g./Lt./Lt. Cmdr. Bud Roberts, Jr. (1997-2005), Karri Turner as Ens./Lt. j.g./Lt. Harriet Sims (1997-2005), Chuck Carrington as P.O. Jason Tiner (1997-2003), Trevor Goddard as Lt. Cmdr. Mic Brumby (1998-2001) and Scott Lawrence as Cmdr. Sturgis Turner (2001-2005).

JAG lawyers, Commander Harmon Rabb, Jr. and Lieutenant Colonel Sarah MacKenzie join forces to investigate cases of crimes that are committed by Navy and Marine personnel. They engage in adventurous activities in order to solve their cases. With Rabb's fighter pilot background, and MacKenzie's good looks, they are an unbeatable team both in and out of the courtroom.

They solve cases and problems of different kinds. From a psycho who wanted to bomb a cruise ship from a submarine to taking a risky mission of recon photos. Rabb used to be a fighter pilot until he and his co-pilot were in an accident. From then, he became a JAG. Every week he and Lt. Austin have a new case to solve.

This television series illustrates JAG-Officers applying the rules of the UCMJ and International Law as well as providing conventional television melodrama. The show relied in its initial phase much on Hollywood military-prop suppliers and using existing stock footage from other well-known naval and military films.
