Feud between Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie’s feud with her bestfriend Paris Hilton was not really substantiated, but only made worse by the media. Although, there are many speculations and hints about the reason behind their break-up, Nicole and Paris were adamant about talking about it. Paris, however, gave some hints about the break-up when she said “Most of my friends aren’t famous at all. It’s easier. They don’t feel they have to compete with you. A lot of people can get like that. Like, if someone’s more successful they’ll get mad about it.”

When did it start?
It was May 2005 when the issue of Nicole Richie’s feud with Paris leaked out. The media then were making stories about the two, to Nicole and Paris’ shock, but still they didn’t disclose specific reasons. Just before the release of Paris’ biggest movie House of Wax, Paris confessed that she and Nicole weren’t friends anymore. At that time, Paris and Nicole were still on contract with FOX for their series “Simple Life.”  So, Paris insisted to the producers to get Kimberly Steward, Paris’ long-time friend, to be her partner in the show but the producers did not agree to it because Nicole was supposed to finish her contract to Fox for two more seasons. When Paris was asked about Nicole Richie’s feud with her, she said “I will not go into details of what happened. Nicole knows what she did and that’s all that I am ever going to say about it.”

The Hint about what really happened
The issue about Nicole Richie’s Feud with Paris had not been given any concrete explanations from the two parties but only hints from Paris and nothing whatsoever from Nicole. Nicole said that she doesn’t want to talk about it. So, we take on the hint from Paris. Only the media created the brouhaha to the dismay of the two. This was what the media believed to have really happened:

Basing from Paris’ statement way back 2003, the media speculated about Nicole Richie’s Feud with Paris - it’s jealousy. Paris and Nicole started shooting episodes for the series ‘Simple Life’ in 2003. Back then, this was what Paris said “When I brought her [Nicole] on my show, she just got very jealous and turned on me for no reason. I think she just can’t stand being around me because I get all the attention and people really don’t care about her. ” So, the media believed that jealousy was the primordial reason behind Nicole Richie’s feud with Paris.

Reconciliation
Nicole Richie’s feud with Paris was appeased on the fall of 2006. It was when Paris phone called Nicole to film again for the 5th season of the series Simple Life. As a request of the producers, Paris would have gone alone in an island as a camper, but she didn’t want to go there alone. And so, she phone called Nicole to join her and they reconciled.  That was the end of their dispute. Even so, the real reason behind Nicole Richie’s feud with Paris Hilton was never substantiated even until now. It remains a secret between them.
