Samsung G600 Review - the good and the bad

The Samsung G600 is a 3 megapixel slider style camera phone. Although the digital camera includes autofocus, it is necessary to open the phone. There are two ways to activate the camera on the Samsung G600-from the menu or from a button on the side of the phone itself. Do not expect to be able to quickly snap a picture because it takes a little while after you activate the phone for it to be ready for taking pictures. You will also find a built in small flash next to the lens of the camera, and in spite of its size, the flash is rather powerful. In addition, the quality of the pictures the Samsung G600 camera produces is close to what you find on a compact digital camera.

The only disadvantage that you may find with the Samsung G600 is that you have to open the camera in order to use it.  Having to open the camera to use it and the fact that it is not ready as soon as you activate it are disadvantages if you want to capture an event rather quickly. The high quality of the photos you take with the Samsung G600 make any inconveniences seem minor-waiting for the camera to be ready yet capturing high quality digital prints from a camera phone are of greater importance.

Another minor disadvantage is that the Samsung G600 has a standard keypad rather than the QWERTY keyboard that is becoming more common on slider phones, especially as an auxiliary feature. One must keep in mind, however, that the Samsung G600 is a camera phone and not a Smartphone, thus the inclusion of a QWERTY keyboard is an unnecessary addition. With the durability and reliability that users have come to expect and receive from every Samsung mobile phone, there is little question why anyone would overlook a few minor inconveniences on the Samsung G600 to receive a camera phone with the capability to provide pictures with compact digital camera quality.

The Samsung G600 is one of Samsung's new offerings and has already managed to capture a large user base. The inclusion of email and an MP3 player make the Samsung G600 a "must have" for many new and seasoned mobile phone users. You will find both quality and features included on this model that you would expect to find on the higher end, more expensive models. Of course, sending email with a standard keypad can be a little inconvenient, but the Samsung G600 is not designed for high speed emailing or text messaging.

As with any mobile phone, the proof is in the voice of the public. If you read any Samsung G600 review, you will discover what others think of the Samsung G600 and how well it works for them. That doesn't mean you should expect the same performance, but the opinions of others will give you something to go on. If you find mobile phone deals on the Samsung G600 you can have the high quality of a Samsung camera phone without paying full price to own it.
