Arranging Life via Internet or Websites That Make Life Easier

Once, one of my friends has asked me why do I need this internet access at home. He had no home internet-access at that time, so he was just wondering what for do I spend my bloody money. (By the way now he is online at home much often than me). By that time, I have not been prepared for the question, so I did not answer it comprehensively. Of course I need it, that was obvious, but I failed to show the kicking examples of my internet usage at home.

Today I am really well prepared for the question. That has been due to the fact that I conduct a sort of permanent analysis of the internet role in my life (oh, that nasty friend). And the results of the analysis just impress myself sometimes. I can do (arrange, work out) via internet everything what I can imagine, except for bathroom services and lottery results J.

But, let’s look at this closer. I live in the Netherlands, so I will be more local-specific with my examples. Every day I know the whether forecast better than the meteorologists do. That is because I am using multiple services (weer.nl, cnn.com, weer-online.com) and approximate them to some averaging forecast. All kind of real-time traffic info can be checked via internet before I go to work (trains – ns.nl, db.de, busses – connexion.nl, airplains – schiphol.nl). On the way, I can easily check maps via my mobile telephone WAP connection to the internet – routeplanner.nl and map24.nl.

At work, I do not need to talk to my colleagues or to read books anymore! Everything can be found at the God-Farther Google.com. Questions-answers, news, definitions, standards, financial indexes, even a calculator is there.

Sometimes I plan business trips by myself. No problem at all. Flight ticket booking systems – easy reliable and secure – schiphol.nl, klm.nl, travelocity.com, cheaptickets.com and vliegtickets.nl. A hotel booking – the wide choice is in front of you, just recall your preferences – booking.com, venere.com, hrs.com (hotel reservation system), orangesmile.com (orangesmile tours) – I get my booking for free and confirmation letter comes in a minute. Car rental – I do not even need to give my credit card number - autoeurope.nl, eautohuur.nl, expedia.nl.

So the trip can be arranged in 10 minutes. That is a huge economy of hours of my time and efforts. These hours I can spend chatting with my friends from Australia, USA and Russia. I do not need to call them and spend my money – just open the chat (mailbox) and fly ahead.

Evening is coming, I am at home. Something to eat? No problem. Ordering a food via internet – easy, fast and cheap - thuisbezorgd.nl, emeal.nl, urbanbite.nl. Only 15 minutes and you are consuming maybe not delicious but quite fare food. Relaxation time after dinner does not mean watching TV. But, personally for me, that means watching football. I watch football via Internet. I do not need a TV anymore! Uefa.com, chello.nl, russiantvonline.com - via these websites I can watch football from 95 countries. Not so bad, ha.

Once a football is completed, the night comes to tits rights. Here, one gets the wide choice. Go to bad alone, with a girlfriend or with that online-lady-talk-to me.

As you can see, I have described just around 5 % of my life-run situations and already so much use of Internet. Effective and time-efficient. Of course I got much extensive bookmarks. And they sometimes create a miracle. I arrange a deal in 10 minutes, while 10 years ago I would need the whole day to arrange the same deal. And, do not forget, the internet is growing, so we are not getting the maximum of its power yet. If we can ever catch this maximum…
