SEO Basics 3

Hello,

Today i am going to share with you some valuable information regarding SEO. I don't think there is a SEO that will argue with me on the advice i am about to give however, this does not mean there is not some person out there that does not agree with me.

One of the best ways for your site to get noticed is by fresh content. By this i mean a page you update daily or weekly. Google loves and hence why you should start one up.

When you post a story that strikes an interest, a site or person might find it for a keyword they use in a search. When naming your blog posts remember this when posting.

There is another way and it's as simple as pie and best of all - IT'S FREE...well depending on the sites terms etc. So what is it i hear you ask...scroll down!

Answer: Post on other blogs but do not spam them.When posting on other blogs do not use the old line of "that's a great idea maybe you should come visit my blog too" now i say this because most site owners will ban you..think about it - it's like a TV salesman trying to promote his/her product on your TV sale site..and i don't think you would like that.

This is a approach that i have done myself and had good results. This is not fact and nor is it something you should base your SEO on but rather a "stepping stone" i warn you to listen to my advice but only use it if you do your research..i maybe wrong and my results maybe just luck

Ok now that i have got past that part, here is an example:

Good Post name: Web Design tips for new web designers
Bad post name: Site design

Question: site design sounds good what the hell is wrong with it?
Answer: It's a general title and nothing for the reader to go on. Think of it as like if you were selling a TV - would you have a banner saying "TV's" or would you have "High quality TV sets"

I am not saying there should be a set standard for all your posts and it's really up to you. What i am telling you is that from my own results by me naming something with a small description helped me...it might not.

Just try to add more to your title and don't make it too long keep it so that it catches peoples eyes when they look at the post title before even reading on.

One last thing - RSS can help you too when you have a blog so have a read up on RSS. You can also get other blogs to add your RSS to their blogs.

So here is the list of things to do:

Use fresh content (update daily or weekly)
Start a blog (try to use it on your domain name..something like mysite.com/blog
Post on other blogs but do not spam
Keep the titles eye catching (remember keywords)
Get RSS set up (there will be a post about this in the future)

To rap this up - SEO is forever changing and there are tons of people who like me will tell you this and that. My best advice to you is do your own research and yes what i have told you will help but you need to learn as you go and you can only do that by researching. Don't waste your money on SEO experts as one day like baby steps you need to make it on your own and i think you would rather go out into the world of SEO without having a price tag you paid in the range of $700 or so.
