How to Build a Customer friendly Website.

Are you not satisfied with the way visitors have shun your site on first visit? Yes, have you seen the statistics and you keep getting discouraged by the number of visitors to your site?

Don’t you think something needs to be done to the way your site was designed? Do you know a well designed website will continually bring visitors back to your site every time?

In this article I will be discussing how you can build a customer friendly website. Happy reading:

1.      Put relevant contents on your site: If the content of your site does not interest the visitor, you are bound to loose that visitor for ever. You are not expected top put up a site on dog training and have contents on curing diabetes flooding your site.

2.      Is your site taking time to load? This can make you loose traffic as many internet users won’t wait for your site to load. They are gone for good. To avoid poor load time, please avoid too many graphics on your site. I don’t subscribe to the use of graphics on e-commerce sites except if is going to serve a purpose.

3.      Too many spelling errors is bad: If your site is full of spelling errors, you can be sure many visitors would not come back again. They will not even stay to see what you have to offer. Try as much as possible to spell-check the contents of your site before uploading. There are FREE spell checkers on the net for this purpose.

4.      Poor Navigation: Do you make it difficult for your visitors to navigate your site. You are expected to make your links as visible as possible. They can be either on the left or on top of your webpage. Visitors must have the opportunity of coming back to your home page from any other web page on your site.

5.      Is it Difficult viewing your site on other browsers: You are to ensure you design your site to be compatible with the popular browsers like internet explorers or Netscape. You must discuss this with your web designers before he designs your website.

6.      No Pop-Up Ads: I hate this on any site. I don’t stay for a second on sites with these types of ads. It annoys visitors. So please try as much as possible to avoid using them on your site. If you use FREE hosting plan, you can expect to see this on your site. Nothing is free; they place these ads on your site in exchange for the free service they are offering you. I advise you to go for paid hosting. It is not as expensive as it uses to be. You can visit www.rocktech.biz/hosting.html for details of good hosting plans.

7.      No Music: Music from your site can sometimes be irritating. So avoid them especially when it is not serving any purpose. I have come to your site to be educated and not to be entertained. So let me have the contents and not the music.

8.      No Contact information: Some webmasters make the mistake of not adding contact information to their site for visitors to contact them. This is not professional. Your contact info on your site makes your sites visitor to believe that you are real and that you can be trusted.

I advise you to take some time to look at your site and do a thorough comparison with other top websites and make changes that are necessary. I have done this on so many occasions and I will continue to do it.
