You Can Overcome Adversity
Adversity wears many faces. It comes in
many forms and sizes. Adversity could
be as simple as having misplaced your
car keys and you're late for an
appointment trying to find them or as
large as the loss of a loved one.
How you handle adversity determines
if you'll move your life forward or
find yourself stuck in the mud.
Adversity is the yardstick by which
our fortitude is measured. It shows us
the depth of our resolve and the width
of our endurance.
When we begin a new venture,
especially one that is totally new and
out of our comfort zone we face alot of
adversity.
Having a firm resolve in achieving our
dream will go a long way in helping us
overcome the adversities that arise.
When you have a goal that is big, you
must have the endurance to work on it
until it's reached. Big goals, big
dreams don't happen overnight.
Changing vehicles every 90 days is only
going to give you the same results
you've always gotten. Letting go of
the
resolve to reach your dreams with one
vehicle in hopes that the next one will
"do it"is not going to work. The
adversities you've encountered with the
first one will only present themselves
again in the next and the next and the
next.
When you looked at the vehicle, the
idea, the plan, you knew in your heart
that it was for you. You knew that was
the
method you could use to help you reach
your dreams.
As the adversities come up, your
endurance will wear down only if you
allow it. When you let your endurance
wane, your resolve will fade with it.
Don't let it. Keep your focus on the
result you need to achieve. Stop
focusing on the process of
getting there.
You see, Webster defines resolve as a
noun; to settle or solve. It's a
choice that we make. Deuteronomy 30:15
says
it all. We must remember, commitment
is the foundation on which life is
built.
