There Is No Absolutely No Substitute For Hard Work

As a way of introduction let me say I totally agree with the title of this article.

I started working at sixteen and finally retired forty three years later. I began as a junior clerk and worked my way up into a management position. Every day was a challenge and I often worked ten hour days. The remuneration in the latter years was good.

The point I'm trying to make is if you work HARD and put in the effort rewards will come.

This is why I found it very strange when I decided recently to have a look at home based businesses. Both on the internet and in magazines I found advertisements for businesses that were offering huge amounts of money for little or, in some cases, no work.

Here are just a few of the banner headlines I discovered:-

  • "Can You Earn Up TO $41,456 In 30 Days With No Staff."
  • "Invest $977 and earn up to $30,000 per month with your own...."
  • "Earn Passive Residual Income capped at $72,356 per month."
  • "Failed university student makes over $48,653 gross profit working just 4 months this year....starting with zero cash."
  • "Do You Want To Be A Millionaire? I'll Show You How You Can Make $20,000 to $80,000 a month and more within the next 90 days."

Now, call me naive but I find it quiet impossible to believe that someone with no experience, no effort and no cash could earn these vast amounts of money.

The world's population is estimated to be about 6.6 billion and if these schemes were so good why isn't everyone on earth a millionaire? The obvious answer is they aren't that good.

I was told when I was young that success will come to those who put their "nose to the grindstone" and work hard.

I think a good majority, if not all, of these advertisements are praying on people's desire to earn as much money as they can for as little effort as possible. Unfortunately some people are gullible and don't do the proper research.

When looking at these schemes one should get expert advice from qualified people in that field. Don't let all the gloss influence your decision.

Remember the old saying "if it looks too good to be true......it probably is."

Hard work is the key to any success. This is why I eventually signed up, after investigating several home based businesses, with Stone Evans' PIPs program. This home based business would allow me to :-

  • work from home,
  • set my own working hours,
  • utilise online marketing techniques, and
  • hopefully make some money.

There were no false promises or guarantees that I would earn mega bucks. Stone said that his program would involve a lot of hard work and perseverance. He provided a FREE 30 day training course and as much support as was necessary.

This was the type of program I could relate to. Hard work to start off with and the possibility of earning a good income down the line.

In conclusion, I just want to convey to any person thinking of starting a home business to be very careful in their selection. There appear to be a lot of "quick get rich schemes" around that on closer inspection do not meet the muster.
