KPMG 48-Hour Virtual 'World Jobs Fair' To Directly Connect with Job Seekers

Recently KPMG organized a live, 48-hour global online recruiting fair from September 24th to 26th this year, an unusual but effective attempt to reach job seekers directly. All expert professionals and fresh graduates interested in developing their career with KPMG network of professional firms were allowed to participate in this virtual fair. The KPMG network of professional firms offers tax, audit and advisory services.

The “KPMG World Jobs Fair,” commenced from 9 a.m. GMT from September 24, Wednesday till September 26, Friday 9 a.m. GMT. The primary purpose of the job fair was to offer job opportunities to interested candidates in specialized audit services, advisory and tax. Interested candidates were allowed apply online through the official website www.kpmg.com.

This is the first such online virtual fair organized by KPMG. During this external virtual job fair, the ones participating got an opportunity to chat online with the recruiters and other professionals of KPMG.

According to Timothy P. Flynn, KPMG chairman “As an increasing number of companies conduct business internationally, there are growing opportunities for professionals in many KPMG member firms – especially in emerging markets such as Brazil, Russia, India, and China”. He feels that this opportunity will not only offer an easy platform for the proficient job seekers to get associated with KPMG, but help KPMG in studying the global work force in a better way.

A similar kind of event took place on May by 12 by KPMG members firms. This was an internal event where employees were provided an opportunity for international rotation. 5,000 KPMG employees from 104 countries participated in the internal event. The highest number of employees was from U.K., China and Germany, who showed an amazing response.

This time the event took place in an exhibition hall which had booths covering forty five KPMG member firms. This way participants were also be able to know more about opportunities available in KPMG in different countries and get acquainted with the KPMG culture.

The countries which participated in the KPMG world job fair includes Canada, Czech Republic Croatia, Macedonia Lithuania, Estonia , Latvia, Egypt, Hungary, Ireland, Montenegro, U.S, Herzegovina , Germany, Italy, Kosovo Japan, United Arab Emirates, Moldova , Kuwait, Mexico, Oman, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Russia , Poland, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia Romania, Belarus , Slovenia, Bahrain, Serbia, Singapore, Vietnam, South Africa, Brazil, Switzerland, Albania, U.K., Bosnia, China, Australia and Slovakia.
